Mark did a major renovation of our property and we are absolutely delighted with the result, which is what we hoped for and more. We were confident that he was the right choice for us when we talked to a previous client of his before we began the project. Mark is incredibly hard-working and well organised – he turned up at the beginning of every week with a clear plan which he discussed in detail with us. Inevitably, things didn’t always go to plan because a big building project has a lot of variables, but Mark was always consistent which was very reassuring.

We have never worked with a contractor who communicated like Mark did – texts and calls were always returned the same day, often immediately or within an hour or two. He is not only a highly skilled builder with a clear grasp of all the trades involved in building, but he also proved to be a creative problem solver and we soon developed great confidence in his abilities to deliver what we wanted, especially when we began to realise that he regularly under-promised then over-delivered. We would unreservedly recommend him.

We have always wanted to build our own Home and after 35 years we finally were able to realise our dream. Choosing an Architect and a Main Contractor was of course the most important things to get right and we were very careful in both respects.

We chose Paul Thomas & Son Ltd after lengthy meetings with both Directors. We both felt that our project was in the right hands after Mark Thomas carefully went through all our plans and provided us with a very detailed Schedule of Works. It is not all about price.

You have to trust the people you are investing a great deal of money in to do what you want and to a standard that you expect. We were actually out of the country for two months of the build and yet were kept in touch with the job almost daily with texts, emails and video clips of progress. There were problems, there always are with projects of this scale, but they were always properly resolved.

We trusted Mark and our trust was well placed. He has built for us a beautiful house, which almost came in on budget ( we changed things) and which we know will be our home for many years to come.

The team were always on time. The work ethic we witnessed was second to none. Patience and accomodation of our ideas were excellent. The knowledge and experience they brought to the project was exceptional. The determination and extra work they put in to complete the project to the deadline was greatly appreciated. Mark, Phil, Louis, and the team were professional at all times, and genuinely cared about every little detail. Even the sub-contracters seemed like they were chosen to fit the teams own extremely high standards.

Mark Thomas gave us great peace of mind with his clearly experienced liasing with third parties such as structural engineers, building inspectors, water companies etc, – a service we could not have done without.

I have already recommended them to others, and will continue to do so in the future as I know first hand the end result any client of theirs will have. Excellence all round. Very happy with their service from start to finish.

I used Mark and Paul to renovate a single storey bungalow into a two storey, extended house including landscaping.

They were honest, reassuring, supportive, knowledgeable and offered solutions and ideas. They were extremely professional, trustworthy and punctual. I cannot fault the high standards they place on their work.

The few snags that were identified they immediately put right. I would most definitely recommend them and the team working with them including the plumber, electricians, tiler and painter.
